2017 Read-A-Thon

Why are we fundraising?
St. Monica Catholic School is excited to start our 2nd annual Read-A-Thon!
The Read-A-Thon is motivating students to read more, both in the classroom and at home by pairing reading with a reward system.
Participating students will all receive an emoji bookmark, students receiving $15 in donations will receive an emoji drawstring backpack with an out of uniform pass and students receiving $40 in donations and reaching their reading goal will be entered into a drawing to win an Amazon Kindle.
Best of all, Principal Schommer will be "Locked-Up at Lunch" if we reach our $10,000 goal while all students will enjoy an out of uniform day. He will also volunteer 5 hours with the St. Monica Prison Ministry.
This year the Read-A-Thon will be funding the purchase of a 24 passenger bus. The bus will be used to transport an entire class of students to and from various field trips throughout the year.
